Goodwill Second Hand Retail Store

This used to be my absolute favorite thrift store. Now, I can't stand going there. The last few times I went, employees were standing around complaining to customers who appeared to be their friends. There are more high school age workers and they have lousy attitudes. It doesn't seem as though there is as much decor/collectible items as used to be which is my main reason for going. Also, a lot of the items have been very overpriced.

I love this store. Every time I go I find something.

Most times I am nicely greeted and asked if I need help or are very visible and quick and ready to open up a dressing room. Recently I noticed a lot more high school kids working there, but not taking it very seriously. The last time I was there a few weeks ago, they were standing around arguing about who would take their break at 6pm. It just didn't seem like they cared. Especially doing that and being pretty loud about it right in front of customers. A manager finally tried to break it up and get them back to work. No one helped me with a dressing room, but clothes I hung up to be put away did disappear between sessions of trying on clothes. They have an excellent selection and are very organized. Other than the annoying employees I was very happy.

I have found some great things here.

Clean, tidy and employees visibly moving about the store. Several asked me if I needed assistance in finding anything! There were several high school girls working--such a delight! The welcomed every customer and admired selections at the check out. It felt like a personal boutique rather than a thrift. Probably the best GW in the Central IL area.

Excellent Goodwill store. Very clean and nice, good employees who straighten up the store rather than stand around, also friendly. Everything is reasonably priced. Very organized making it easy to find what you want. Best one in the area!

Newer store. Excellent prices, selection and very clean.
