I was told by an employee that because of store policy they could not hold a curio cabinet for me but I see from others comments that employees are giving special privileges to other customers. Not my favorite thrift shop anymore.
I go to this store twice per month. The prices keep going up, which drives me to Savers more and more. It is dirty and has not improved over time. The clothing selection is great, but tightly packed and difficult to sift through. The shelves are a mess. If you are getting a military or senior discount, be careful to ensure that the discount was applied to the full amount as some employees do not understand how to apply the discount on the register. There is one customer that offers to sell other customers goods. When I mentioned it to the sales person, she said "I keep telling her she can't do that and she does it anyway. Oh well".
Last time I was in here the prices on clothing was decent. Furniture selection was terrible and priced high. Housewares is a joke. Broken items strewn everywhere,. Not organized. Priced high. Only shop here if looking for clothing specific.
Visited 1/12/14, and thought the store was very stripped down, compared to six months ago. Poor selection. I was in the store about a half hour and I noticed two customers come in, go get a clerk, the clerk would then go into the back rooms, come out with merchandise. Then the clerk and the customer would go to the register and presumably the customer paid for the merchandise.. So, it appears that merchandise will be held back for customers, can't say for sure because I didn't really hear any conversation...but this is what it appeared to be. Perhaps you can cozy up to the employees and they will help you find what you are looking for. Personally, I recommend skipping this store, there are other thrifts in the area more deserving.
I stop by this store on occasion and it is almost always busy. There is a great selection of stuff that is organized fairly well considering how quickly the shoppers destroy it; I like to dig, so I don't mind if stuff is piled up in housewares. The clothing is also fairly well organized considering. As far as the employees go, I think they are very nice and helpful and cope well considering the high volume of customers their store brings in. Lots of scavenger type thrifters at this store so take your zen with you so you can cope. I always return to this store regardless of how good or bad the customers are that day, because it is worth the treasures I find there.
I've shopped at this store for many years. I have never walked away empty handed and I will continue to shop there. And yes sometimes it is very messy but it's also a very busy store and the parking lot is always packed as the next closest Goodwill is at least 20-30 minutes away. It's worth it if you take the time to look and understand that the employees can't always keep up with the customers that are tearing the store apart.
