I LOVE St. Bart's Thrift Shop. My favorite thrift in Westchester. I have found the most expensive clothes for a few dollars. Besides the wonderful selection of clothing, the staff are so lovely. The camaraderie between volunteers and customers is worth a trip alone. I leave feeling happy and refreshed. It's truly so much fun. Be prepared to dig through nooks and crannies in this packed shop. consigned items go missing and get stolen I guess and no reimbursement. The other issue I do not feel is right is that they might say they cannot consign something and would one like to donate it and then turn around and sell it on the floor as a donation sale?? Very odd. If they can sell it, it should have been consigned, right?! Also, a volunteer there made a judgmental comment when asked the price of something. She assumed the customer was not wealthy,or was poor, without truly knowing and stated " whatever the price is, it will be very expensive" in a manner and tone that insinuated the above. Tactless,but overall, the store makes a great effort to consign items at a good price yet it is 50/50 risk as items disappear. I feel they should offer store credit at least? (Read More)

Store has been going down hill over the past few years. The workers are being replaced by people that want to chat amongst themselves & rush you out. Most of the nice things seem to be taken by the staff and not offered to the public.
