I have done community service work for Goodwill and know a little bit about how this works. All the Goodwill stores in their region move their merchandise that is not selling around from store to store to store. The Goodcents store is the last stop for it before it goes into the dumpster. So it is really like organized dumpster diving. I have found many good buys there though.
I actually shop here the most out of all the thrift stores in Tallahassee because this is the only shop that prices its clothes by the pound. I've been to other Goodwill outlets in other cites that have WAY cleaner facilities. I can tell that Tallahassee hasn't caught up with the times because most the outlets the bins are blue. In Good centers the bins are black and raggedy. The place just looks old and run down. If you're looking for a "clean thrift shop" this is not the place for you. The shoppers can very aggressive and down right nasty but don't let them scare you off, just push them out the way like I do lol. The workers aren't mean they just now how rude the shoppers can be so they always have their guard up. When you become a regular they tend to loosen up around you.
This is an ok place if you don't mind spending a lot of time digging through bins and bins of clothing etc... I have made some great finds on clothing! People are eh...not rude but not very friendly. If you're looking for organization and cleanliness this is not the place for you!!
