Used to shop here regularly on the off chance something might be clean and in useable condition. Watched as another patron purchased some items. Her son had brought her to shop for Christmas gifts. After the customer and her son left but in full view and hearing range of other customers this customer was ridiculed and made fun of because she had been so pleased with her purchases. Totally not the attitude I expected from a church thrift shop. I refuse to shop there anymore. Just remember ladies, God sees what you do all the time, not just when you're in church.
Used to love this place.Pricing is outrageous.Nothing is cleaned.Stuff is torn, ripped, just plain dirty. Ladies in back take first dibs(hear them talking)and the garbage is then priced so no one can buy anything. Staff is beyond RUDE/Nasty.I try to be patient, but cant buy anything and rude. Why go back?
I feel very badly not giving the shop a good review any more, as I was a regular visitor for a long time, and it was great. But sometime in 2014 I would say, the pricing dramatically changed, and now even an item covered in stains, or a badly damaged handbag, is charged a ridiculously high amount. The "manager" does not act in this title role, advising they can not adjust pricing for even severe and likely permanent / costly damage (why not??). This is a church shop, so I have tried to consider the money a donation when purchasing overpriced items, but honestly it's no longer a win/win relationship (which it should be) and there are far better places to go with fair pricing for clothing in decent shape and managers who use their role (and their heads) to benefit both the organization and the shoppers, to keep a good thing going. I would pass unless something changes (again), but this time for the better. Again, I apologize for not being kinder, but it is in the hope that honesty will help the shop realize how (some) shoppers feel and that they are losing patrons.
I love this shop. It's part of the Methodist church & all proceeds go toward missions. The clothing is much more organized now than it has been in the past. Prices are very reasonable. Like any other thrift shop, you have to pick through everything, but many items are of good quality. I also love that every couple of months or so, they have a $3 bag sale (no limit on the # of bags you can get) During the bag sale days, they will also discount items that don't fit in a bag.
