They charge for Bibles, where ALL other area Sal Armies are FREE. Books are higher than all area stores as too many regular books are marked at .99 instead of 5/$1. VHS are double others at 2/.99.

Huge store, they sell lots of everything! Well organized and displayed. Usual SA pricing, regular sales and senior discounts. Give yourself lots of time, this is a big place.

One of the biggest stores around, but also one of the most expensive. I'd rather buy new shoes at Target then pay the same price for used ones here.

Shame the items are donated yet your prices are so high. Most items can be bought brand new at the same price you have them listed for. Not sure who decides the pricing but might want to take a class in Authentic merchandise, half of the items are fake and yet the prices are sky high. It is a shame. Had the manager tell me that they grossed over 3 million last year for a non profit. Shame on the salvation army.

I have stopped donating to this store, rude and overly priced. I now donate to a smaller non Salvation Army store in the area. This store is way too pricey for me. I work hard for my money and like everyone else try to make the dollar stretch...sorry ....you need to clean up the act at this store....

I have been at most of the stores in SE Mi and this store is by far the worst of all.. The prices are outrageous, the shelves are a disgrace and they pack the clothing so tight it takes forever to get through them.. Never going back !!!!!

Person in charge of pricing collectibles needs a lesson in charity. I shop thrift because money is tight & if item is used or dirty, it's ok because the price is supposed to be very low which makes the hunt worth it. This location thinks it's a dept store now with huge glass locked showcases behind a lg counter. Now, you have to ask crabby lady to open & show each item but counter is so far from showcase you can't see what's in it! charge shelves. Besides that, almost everything that has a name brand on it from the 1990's & back is considered a collectible?! Shame on you Salvation Army for overcharging the lower income shoppers, especially when you get your inventory from free donations. Sad!

The only worthwhile thing is the 5 for $5 clothing on fri and sats. A certain color tag clothing is 5 for 5 and if you search it can be very worthwhile because this store has a lot of very nice and designer items. Otherwise things are very overpriced, many shoes are $20, just ridiculous for thrift store.

This store like all Salvation Army stores is way too overpriced! I browse this store about once a month but no longer. They are taking advantage of the donater & buyer with the ridiculous pricing & I believe they are now in it for the profit, not to help people. I am done with them & will not fall for their scam! Shame on them for taking advantage of people in need.

I agree w/others that the prices are way too high. They do run good sales, like 50% of childrens. Sales people always are involved in their own conversations. Lots of screaming kids running through the aisles, and parents yelling at them - a very distracting atmosphere. I continue to shop there b/c of good selection but I always buy less than I do at other stores.

Great supply of stuff, way too overpriced. My sister went to buy a coat, because there was a 75% off coat sale. Turns out what she wanted to buy wasn't a "heavy" coat because it didn't have lining, therefor not on sale. However it was in the coat section and the sale said nothing about being heavy. There are often more employees than customers, maybe if they didn't hire so many, tank tops wouldn't be 6 dollars. The shelves are so packed it's hard to browse. They clearly are not doing what they should to move the items and make money.

WOW!!! Thought I was at The Salvation Army store but after I looked at the prices turns out I was at Saks Fifth Avenue! The employees were not at all helpful and talked down to the customers, I spent over 2 hours observing both customers and employees. Most customers conversations between themselves were about the way too high prices and the rude manager named Marylou. The "collectible" section items were insanly overpriced with descriptions such as "vintage green glass vase" $45, most of the collectibles were chipped, cracked... and marked "as is" with a very high price tag! Whoever prices these items has no clue to the actual value. Some tags just read "signed pottery piece" but could have been signed by your Aunt Mrytle in her weekly pottery for beginers class! Lots of items have original price tags and are marked only about 50 cents lower! Beware & be very carful when shopping here! Such a shame, this place could really get items in and out at a quick rate while helping the charity, which I thought was the whole point, if they would just come to their senses this could be a really fun store to spend an afternoon in, the way it stands now you might as well just go to the mall!

So expensive! Great big store, would be wonderful if it weren't so overpriced. I looked at an old sectional and they wanted over 200 bucks! I did buy some clothing even though it was expensive, still cheaper than a department store. Won't return until I have a pocket full of money!

Some of the pricing is in direct competition with new products for a thrift store. Furniture way too pricey.
