This was a very interesting store It's quite big, and overall, rather well organized. There's a big selection of some things, but less than you might expect of others. Parking is horrendous, and it's right at a busy intersection. The checkout line was crazy on a Saturday, even with multiple cashiers doing their best. Pricing is weird, with some things like DVD, games, and puzzles priced reasonably, but old Wifi N routers for like $25, or pre-lightning connector iPod dock alarm clocks for $20. Well worth a look, however. I'm not sure about this location, but their other location is cash-only, which is almost a deal-breaker for me, as I rarely carry cash.
Tons of stuff - you could spend hours rummaging (which I have). Most stuff seems pretty overpriced but I have scored a few great deals on sales. Often very crowded and the parking lot is atrocious. It's narrow and crowded, usually full, and so potted up you will wish for an off-roarer!!
this store is one of my favorites, but with the 'picker' shows now on tv, internet, ebay the pricing is getting way too high and not as afordable. the cashiers are very friendly, the ones who stock are rude and could care less if they hit you with the rolling racks, for the most part clean except if it is extremely crowded, which is understandable, I just wish the prices would go back to what they were, internet/tv shows are ruining the thrift stores.
Staff is slightly less rude than the other local rwb. Prices are better. Selection is good. Sale color items are very picked over. Best to go on senior citizens wednesday. Busy but less picked over
This is consistanly rated the number one thrift in PGH, but I think it is highly overated. They have weekly sales of everything but one color; the good stuff is ALWAYS that one color. I find the clothing selection very lacking compared to other stores (and I have been to them all!) They also sell alot of fake designer bags, which drives me nuts! It is ILLEGAL to do so. overall, this store really isn't worth dealing with the aggravating parking (though there IS more of that now) and crowds.
Has become one of the most popular thrift stores in the burgh. Found out today they are building a new building next door to accomodate all the people and stuff. Prices are sometimes higher than expected, but usually for the really hot items. Sales are usually limited to seniors (take someone over 55 to get the half off perk). Clerks are typically rude and disconnected. HOWEVER, you can find almost anything here.... but grab it while you can. things go fast, which can lead to overpaying for the "hot items".
Large thrift store with lots of goodies, but you've got to spend some time looking due to its organizational chaos. It's popular (and often crowded) so parking can be challenging. But the selection can be really good.
