D.A.V. Veterans Thrift Store

I am NOT a thrift store snob but I like a clean and well organized store. I like a senior discount and a mark down of items that have been there awhile. None of the above here. I have never found any treasures here and no longer go.

The DAV has no concept of pricing. They try to sell paintings for $80, old nasty coats for $40, and if something isn't priced they won't sell it to you. No changing rooms, no bathrooms. They charge sales tax, as they are not affiliated with a non-tax organization of any kind, I question whether they actually help disabled veterans.

I Shop here almost every week. Large selection, and almost everything but the kitchen sink. Prices are fair and competitive. Furniture is a little pricy. There are a couple of young ladies that are outstanding in their customer services, always smiling and fast at check out. They help make your shopping experience a great one. There is one supervisor, who never, never smile! she's always frowning, and not pleasent at all. I advise never ask her any questions, or you may leave without purchasing. Because of her I cannot rate them a 5 on customer service which those other young ladies, and other employees deserve.

WOW.. lot of thrift store snobs on this site! - Ok, not the cleanest, but large selection and best pricing in N.county. Large selection for men. What do you want? These are "Thrift" stores!
