Used to be a great place to get a deal but now the prices are too high. It seems like an "I sold it on Ebay" store. Maybe it has to do with Atlantic Health taking over Newton Hospital, but the prices were definitely better when Atlantic Healthcare wasn't associated with this thrift shop.
My first time shopping there. After reading reviews i was expecting higher prices, but i was actually thrilled with the fair prices and great quality items i found. Been to many thrift stores in tri-state area and this is one of the best. Just wish it was a little closer to me!
Was in NJ visiting family when I stumbled onto this place. What a wonderful shop and a woman by the name of Michele! She helped me with everything I looked at, thank you so much for the pleasurable experience! I will be back again this summer:-)
Went for the first time. Was impressed with the quality, cleanliness and organization of the store. Not your typical thrift store. I found some great buys on clothing. The woman was friendly and patient with me while i tried on a lot of clothes. Didn't realize half the store is consignment too. I will definitely be back!
Purchase men's slacks which had incorrect waist and length on ticket. Called and requested store credit and was refused even though it was BeeHives mistake. Down $18 and will never shop there again. Salvation Army and Goodwill are soooo much better!
Love to shop here..you can really get some nice items reasonably. Alot of clothes, household items, books and even furniture. Can appreciate how clean and organized everything is and it benefits newton hospital!
I have been shopping here for years & have always found great deals. The store is well organized & clean. They now have a seasonal section which is great! It's not cluttered like it was years ago. I always walk out with a bag of great things & usually spend less than $5.00. I have also sold numerous items via consignment. It's nice to get a check in the mail. I wish they were open on Sunday!
Shopping there for years..they have made some changes and the store looks great and well organized. Love the large selection of clothes, books and household items! Just bought three nice womens talbot shirts, mens dress shirt and hollister jeans all for under 20.00!! I haven't noticed any price increases. I actually love the bargains you can get there!
I have been going to The Beehive for over twenty years. It is now almost half consignments which can be pricey. There is new management and the prices for donated items have shot way up. It's a shame because it has customers that NEED to find clothing at real thrift store prices! I still go but buy much less than I was once able to. Also, some of the staff are less than friendly. This has been much worse in the past and may be one thing that has improved with the new management. I wish they would realize how off their pricing has become!
