The Salvation Army Family Store

Be sure to get all the way to the back of the store for kitchen stuff, books, household decor items.

I used to shop this store. But the way the staple the price tags on the clothing puts a hole in the items. They even staple on the leather coats???? I have mentioned this several times and nothing has been done. I went to the new store on 115th and metcalf and they staple the clothes too???? Get a clue. They would sell more if there weren't staple holes left in the clothing??

I have found a few good deals, especially linens. There is a good selection of plus size clothing. However, I can never look through the housewares and books because of the VERY heavy cigarette smoke smell from employees smoking in the next room.

I have a completely different view of this store and was surprised to see that someone gave it a bad review! They have a huge selection of clothing and I have never left without finding something great. :) They also have a large (no pun intended!) selection of plus sized clothing, which isn't always easy to find in thrift stores.

If you're looking for old pilled sweaters or torn and faded clothing, this is the place to find it. The selection is sad. I'm constantly wondering what they do with their better donations.
