I stopped going there a few years ago because it is too overcrowded and very aggressive. There's the Haitians who seem to have claim over the aisles. Getting through the aisles is like going through a war zone. Then there's the final check out line which is quite long. The staff doesn't speak a word of English and quite rude speaking Spanish and not realizing that Gringos understand. Now I find out their prices have gone up quite high. No thank you. When I thrift, I want to shop in peace with no stress. This red white and Blue store is very stressful.
I would come here before because it was affordable, most of the tags in the store have a green tag that used to be discounted 50% a couple times a week. I came recently and now they never discount green so finding items at half price is almost impossible. Also, if an item has an even remotely recognizable brand they will price it very high which seems absurd for such a crowded unorganized establishment. The prices should correspond with it being a THRIFT SHOP, not one of those over priced so called "vintage boutiques." Not worth it, if you want to get good deals go to American Thrift in hollywood, its still kindof messy but you'll score things for much less.
Big, VERY CROWDED store. Warning: difficult to find a free shopping cart. Prices are a bit erratic. If it's a known name brand be prepared to pay. Agree w/another reviewer who said it's possible to get good deals if the pricers don't know it's a good label. Lots of dealers hanging around collectibles. Have found some fantastic buys.
This used to be "the place" but now is so expensive it is not worth the trip. When they offer 1/2 price except for certain color, all the tags will be that color!! not fair!! very greedy!!
This isn't a vintagey-type thrift store-most of the clothes are from within the last 10 years. Go on Saturday because a lot of things are 50% off. Be patient with parking and don't park on the street (you will get ticketed). Wear leggings or a skirt and a thin t-shirt because there are no dressing rooms. You have to be patient at this store because it is often crowded, but it is so worth it (this coming from somebody very picky, and very frugal). P.S. Very nice black, leather, peep-toe Stuart Weitzman heels for $6. The thrill of the hunt.
Parking lot is always full. Park at the Walgreens on the corner or the Publix or CVS down the street. Wednesdays are half of for seniors - if you know or are an over 65. Pricing varies. The staff marks up what they think is expensive or name brand but their expertise has some glorious gap! Last month I found a practically new pair of black citzen skinny jeans for only 10 dollars. Many nice shirts for $2 and $3. Rarely will you find good vintage dresses though - yet if you do they will be dirt cheap, under $5. Nice and very quick moving selection of household goods and odds and ends. Very crowded. Very hectic, but overall it might be the best thrift store in Miami.
