This store is nothing fancy, but has good finds at great prices. Not sure why someone said it was a scary neighborhood. Maybe they were thinking of another store location. I've shopped at this one several times without problems.

There are several Family Thrift in the Houston area. I like this one the best. Great selection for clothes and books.

Big store (and no that part of town is not scary), great selection, lots and lots of clothes, prices mostly reasonable. Staff often speaks no English.
