Completely over priced-how does that help any of us that truly have very few extra dollars to spend? Location should have nothing to do with it. I was followed around like a criminal the whole time I was there-rude and intrusive. NO return planned
2nd Chance, along with the Barn in Califon are the best thrifts in northern NJ. 2nd Chance is clean, well-organized, nice people, so nice it's open all week, but prices are high. HOWEVER, the prices reflect eBay & other site prices. 2nd Chance makes up for it by gradually reducing prices & items there a long time & the things I've gotten for a dollar would blow your mind. A good way to do it if you ask me. If you really want it you gotta pay. But if you're patient you MAY get a great bargain...then again, someone who wants it more may scoop it up before you!
I have been to this store a few times over the past years. I do find that they sometimes have items of an interesting nature but the pricing is way off! Maybe it is because the area has money but for the typical thrift store patron, the pricing is not usual. It never ceases to amaze me that resale shops, who get their wares donated for free can turn around and charge their customers a larger sum than they should! Honestly, if you think you have something of value, then take it to an antique store or list it on ebay to sell at the price you would like to get! Give the people who walk through the door a break already.
Not impressed at all! After reading the reviews, I visited this thrift store and was sorely disappointed. It's small, crowded, and I was shocked to see a couple of cookbooks costing $4 and $5 each. For that price I could do much better on Amazon! I won't return to this place! There are such better places to go for value!
The very best thrift store I've ever seen, with great, constantly changing merchandise and super sales. Run by exceptionally friendly and organized people- Linda Horton and Pat Albertini, with 120 cheerful volunteers. Don't miss it!
I love this shop. I go every week. Pretty colorful displays. Great for personal items and some antiques. Don't expect to find any items that you can latter re-sell at higher prices. The staff is very friendly and the cause is very noble.
This is a shop no to miss on your travels. The prices are absolutely the cheapest. There are always things that are half price, to keep the inventory turning over constantly. So much effort goes into the displays and organization of the goods. Just not sure what the other review below is talking about. Even more, all the money goes right to a most deserving school that cares for disabled children.
Wonderful selection of antiques, clothing, etc! Very friendly customer service! Some prices high, but they go on sale often, most prices a bargain!!! Clothing sales all the time for $1.00 including designer fashions!!! It is the place to go for whatever you are looking for.
