Flanders United Methodist Church Thrift Shop

Church Council response: Pastor does not sell online. She uses her phone to communicate with volunteers and church members to whom she ministers. Donated items take time to process. 2 sheds of donations still need to be sorted and priced. Quality items sell fast. Funds raised support local church and Methodist missions.

I have two bad experiences with this church. I have dropped of a bag of fifteen expensive handbags and I want to know if they were going to a good place so I personally visited their clothing and gift shop on four different opening days since then and have not seen one. Their outside selling area has been also deceiving to the public. The pastor in charge every time I visited the gift shop was always looking down on her phone. Me and fellow residents beleive she is selling this items with and online private business. For example last Saturday I was standing by the line I saw a deaf customer go to buy pair of $3 donated sunglasses. customer handed the pastor $20 bill and the pastor asked if he wanted change, the deaf man couldn't respond so the pastor said thank you for your donation. the man stood there upset and walked away very upset. I am very disgusted of every aspect of this so called church/Scam

I was very disappointed with this shop, I won't return. The nasty Asian woman running the place is the minister. Enough said.

They recently renovated their building. Now everything is clean and well organized. Big selection. Excellent quality. Low prices. They color code their tags monthly, so you can see what is new right away. Big improvement. I like their outdoor section too.

I shopped there on a Wednesday, and the following Saturday. Not at all impressed. 👎

they have new hours. look at their church website. They are now open on fridays as well. and also some saturdays.

Messy, and spread out in tents, classrooms, basement and sheds. What happened to what was a wonderful little shop a year ago?

Great prices! Pants and shirts one dollar each. Kid's clothes 50 cents each! Average to good selection. Proceeds support the church and local and global Methodist missions.

Money does not go to mission anymore...

lotta stuff but messy. Cheap & if you're lucky-good finds. too small for the too many mexicans with 12 kids that swarm the place. They need to learn some courtesy

This is my favorite thrift store! All tops $1. cant beat that! Selection is small, but its worth it.

A lot of fantastic bargains if you have patience to look. Prices are fantastic and I love that all money goes to mission work.

Great shop,the girls that volunter are very nice and cheerful! The prices are the best in the area,they do 5 dollar bag days,everything you can fit in a bag! I got great curtians and tablecloths!

For a small shop, they are organized and fairly clean. Pricing within range. Dedicated volunteers and personable.

Nice people who work hard. Great $5.00 bag sales. Prices excellent for items outside because if they do not sell that day they go in the garbage. Good clothes inside somewhat organized. Great place for clothing. Open Monday and Wed. mornings only...

They were soo kind, and I walked away with nice tops for less than 20 dollars!
