Wheeler Mission Thrift Store

Very clean store with a great selection. By far the best prices in Indy. They always get the best furniture. I learned that this store supports Wheeler Mission.

When I was shopping here I saw plastic containers with a mix of random beads. I peeled back the tape on several of them to see the beads because many were not transparent. As I was doing so I was yelled at by a women with a very dirty look on her face. She said "Do not open those!". I told her that I could not see the merchandise, and there was no response from her. I asked to speak to the manager and told her how rude her employee was to me. She assumed the worst: that I was planning to shoplift. I have worked customer service and now work in public service, and I know this is not the way to treat others ethically nor in the business world. This is supposedly an organization for a missionary cause yet I was treated like a criminal. I suggested they put signs up asking customers to ask for assistance rather than yelling at them for trying to see items for sale. The manager told me that signs do not work because customers don't read them. I said that I knew this would not work for everyone. In my profession I know this will not solve the problem, but it would prevent such horrible customer service and cover their backs in instances like this. When I left they still had not put up a sign. All I was given was a "sorry" when I had first told them how I felt but nothing further. Great prices and ideas, but wow-I will not be shopping there again!

Prices too high, and the clerks are RUDE. Particularly one named PAM.

One of the best thrift stores!!

I love this store! It's clean, well-organized, and has great variety. The workers there are very friendly, too. Prices are about the same as the regular Goodwill stores, probably less on household items. It's a very pleasant experience to shop there.

This store has a lot of potential, they just don't have much selection yet. The employees are great though!
