Duxbury Thrift & Consignment

I've been to this shop many times and they have a great selection of clothing and housewares. Some consignors do price their own items at high prices, but most are very reasonable and half price after a month makes for great bargains. In the fall of 2011 the shop started using computers for sales. Look for speedier check outs soon.

The selection is great. They are nice to the people they know and if they don't know you, they make no effort to assist you. The pricing is out of control. Many items are priced below value and others are grossly over priced. Often more than the item would cost new. There is no price reduction regardless to whether the item is damaged. The prices are cut in half after 30 days, so if you can wait and the item is still there, you can do better.

Wow!I read the reviews on this before I rated....I have known these women for years.They are wonderful older ladies(the majority of them)What type of customer service are you looking for?It is quite a lot to expect to be waited on hand and foot when you are dealing with women that DO donate a lot of their time to make sure that all runs smoothly.Lydia runs the show,and is great at working with what is a vailable to her.I am also sure that anyone can have a bad day....Haven't you?(:

Customer service is terrible. I know it is staffed by volunteers, but really!!! can we say "calculator" instead of ten minutes of adding up the purchase with a pen.

Extremely unfriendly people working there. Down right rude. I won't go there again.

I have found some good buys here.

The ladies who run this shop are the RUDEST people I have ever met.
