, isn't the party supposed to be about frdiens getting together and celebrating?I guess for me: I am putting the vast majority of my money towards what I think is important (saving for a car, tithes & donations, etc.), and really there is not much left over. And what is left over is very quickly used for last minute things. When I go to birthday parties, I either forego the gift idea altogether or I write them a letter or something else that is personal and encouraging. Cheap? Maybe. But I would be perfectly content with receiving a handwritten letter from one of my frdiens!I have definitely (obviously) been the only person at a party without a gift many times! I'm okay with it. It doesn't feel rude to me, just because I don't expect anything more from my frdiens. Of course, I could be wrong on that! And if I know the person who's party I'm attending really appreciates gifts (or if I don't know them well), I usually will bring one.Two more things: I do love to give gifts! But, with a few exceptions, I keep it within my family. And also: I am more inclined to give gifts at Christmas, for some reason. I kind of feel like birthdays aren't quite worthy of them. Haha let me rephrase that. At Christmas they lend to the festivities. At birthdays they seem more like an obligation to me.I could be wrong! So that's where I stand on teens and gifts. Good topic, Mrs. Coroy!
The people who work there are rather sweet, there is a good assortment of random do-dads, the have a good purse selection. Not much when it comes to things for ones home, shoe selection isn't very good, good book selection, alright clothing selection, nifty when it comes to jewelry. Everyone there is very nice & the money goes to a good cause (abused women).
