The Purple Cow

Not sure why one or two people think the store is political or whacked out theologically. They are simply loving people who want to help the homeless in Downtown Baton Rouge.

A little over priced and not a lot of stock, but I enjoyed this thrift until recently when I realized the organization that owns this store is, apparently, politically/theologically speaking, about two steps down from Westboro. I feel sick that I've spent money there thinking they were good people.

Very great thrift store! Everyone is so nice and the prices are better than Goodwill. This is the only thrift store I shop at, I love it so much!

I love to shop there. The selection is great, and I really don't think the prices are too high. They also have brand new stuff even with tags. And the staff is so nice. They also have discount days: Monday is Senior Citizen day 20% off; Tuesday - Single Parent day 20% off; Wed -- White Cow day; and Saturday - Cow Bucks! I love it! Don't listen to all the negative reviews. Go and check it out for yourself!

Prices too high for a thrift store. I used to buy tons of stuff when they first opened, but in recent years prices are way out of line. Even though it's closer to my home, I no longer shop there.

Very pricey! Owners are rude!

Always find quality items here but prices have gone up and seem high for second hand. They do have a loyalty card program that can help save money.

Great stuff good selection prices a lil on high side but quality stuff

This mid-sized thrift store is very clean and well organized. The prices are on the high side however they did have a 'white cow' special on off season items during my visit.

Found Rockports in almost new condition for $5!
