Been there only 2 times but haven't been back. Women's clothes & shoes are priced too high for a thrift store. They closed 7 minutes before closing time when I was there last. The clerks were chasing out the customers so they could close up & go home. Customers deserve better. I now shop elsewhere.
the prices are high on some items so you HAVE to work this store's sales: every major holiday, all is 30% off. On Wednesdays, if you are 50+, three colors of tags are half priced on clothes and some accessories. About the staples: yes they annoy me. You can however 99% of the time carefully remove them at home by prying the legs of the staple up with a sharp knife and gently remove the staple from the garment. STILL ANNOYING. PLUS SIZED clothes are separated for both women (Queen section) and men (Big and Tall). This is awesome. They have a discount jewelry case with green X marking half-off the regular price. They separate out the quality clothing (coldwater creek, chico's, etc) into a Boutique Aisle (pink tags) which means less time sorting through lesser quality items. NOTE: ALBUQUERQUE HAS A HUGE NUMBER OF THRIFT STORES. Each has a different system for pricing, discounts, and how items are sorted. This store is not for everyone, but it has a large dedicated following of regular customers. CASH ONLY is mildly irritating but i just make sure to hit the CU-ATM 1/4 mile south on Juan Tabo before I go inside. On Friday's the adjacent Furniture warehouse is open. Most items there are really in sad shape, strange to see that owned by same people. But i don't go there for furniture!!
This store has doubled it's prices over the last few months. You can expect to pay just about what you would at any big box store. AAfter my last visit, I just don't bother any more. These owners think they are going to be millionaires, and the shoppers, all living on tiny budgets, are being ripped off. It's a shame, but shoppers are going elsewhere, and I am too.
This is my favorite thrift store. Their name brand clothing aisle always has the best deals. I love that on Wednesdays I can take advantage of their senior sale and get 3 color tickets half off. The staff is friendly and the store is pretty clean and organized for a thrift store.
Prices are high on dishes, artificial flowers & some household goods, but I have found some good selections in linens & books. However, they do damage the pages of books as well as other items with staples. They dumped their patterns which is too bad. One of the staff is friendly while most are BOSSY or just don't care! Mgr is arrogant.
Hadn't stopped in for a while so I stepped in yesterday. The prices are a smack in the face. I don't do clothes but visited several other sections and left without buying anything. I won't be stopping here again unless I hear that they've come down a bit. Seriously, (they must be) smoking crack prices.
The prices are a bit high but store is clean. One thing I HATE that this store does is punch holes in the clothing because they use actual staples to attach price tags to the clothes! Not cool. And they have a 'designer clothing' isle but that clothes is higher priced than other clothes in store. And forget 50% off day! They only let you take 4 pieces into the dressing room and then get back in line to wait an hour to try on another 4 pieces of clothes! 50% off day is insane there- no parking AND this store is CASH only. No cards, no checks etc. CASH only.
