4928 Poplar Level Rd., Louisville, KY 40213
Employees charge you what they want regardless of what the item is marked. Example: a $1 vase is rung up at $2.99.
The lighting is poor, pricing is inconsistent, and the store workers are only friendly to familiar faces.
Cluttered and junky. This is the kind of store you stop at when you happen to be in the area, not one you make a point of going to.
Great quantities of expected and unexpected objects. Other reviewers have noted the thrift store ambiance... don't walk in expecting it to look like Walmart and you'll have fun despite the dust. Areas of the store are discounted daily (I have seen furniture for both 50% and 70% off).
This store is just filthy and disorganized, especially toys & housewares. They do have a good furniture selection, but all of it looks so gross that I wouldn't want to sit on anything. Plus, the prices, at least on the furniture, are really high- I went there one day after going to the DAV- here, the prices on end tables started at $20; at the DAV, $3. That's pretty much indicative- anything you can get at the Bargain Center, you can get cleaner & cheaper somewhere else.
Very friendly staff for a thrift shop. HUGE selection of furniture- largest I've seen in Louisville. Lots of dishes and kitchen stuff & lots of shoes, mattresses. Clothing selection okay. Rest of the store is great.
Nice place with reasonable prices.
