1750 Woodman Dr., Dayton, OH 45420
Women beat up a man this week. Police came. Be careful on who you stand next too. Along with the junk comes some people who have nothing to lose. Store management appears not in control. In a push for profit, the store has jammed the isles with bins leaving little room for carts and masses of people. The folks from foreign countries shop the shoes when they first come out to the floor and then these folks send the shoes overseas and out of the country. This process leaves little shoe selection for the poorer USA citizen.
This place is a cesspool of garbage but if your idea of entertainment is watching a bunch of roaches digging through trash, you might find it mildly amusing.
you can find some good deals if you willing to dig through a lot of junk it's pretty much takes a lot of time but if you're looking for something in particular you might find it there when you can't find anywhere else
Has really changed with new management, not nearly as good and much less friendly. Don't know what happened. They seem to sort and take decent items out and seem to have much less quality items. BIG CHANGE
Love to show at this store, its my entertainment sometimes. Fun to see what everyone picks up. Some people are very rude, but more nice people that rude ones!
This store should be SHUT DOWN immediately. This is a scam and the people who are donating are being ripped off. The families that need the items will NEVER get them. Instead, there is a handful of "bullies" who believe they own the aisles, and get first choice of everything. Management is USELESS and does nothing when people are pushed, assaulted, or called names. I'm not sure how this Goodwill store is allowed to stay in business. Management is in collusion with the "daily" sellers, and items are ROUTINELY given to regulars, rather than put to sell for the general public. Families and children are NOT ABLE to get anything worthwhile because a ten foot angry group of men will make a chain and take ALL the toys to sell on Ebay. This organization should not be TAX EXEMPT - they are basically paying people to give items to an aggressive criminal group of Ebay sellers.
The management is constantly pulling a lot of the nicer items off the tables/bins before they hit the floor so they can price gouge the customers by putting outrageous price tags on certain artwork and electronics. In fact, a lot of the artwork seems to disappear in the back and no one ever sees it again....not even shopgoodwill.com. Also, if they miss an item that they normally over price with a sticker and it happens to make it's way out in the bins and someone attempts to buy it, the cashiers are instructed to call management to the cash register to get a price where for the most part things are supposed to get weighed to calculate price. And there seems to be a constant competition between the dealers that shop there and the store management. It is a fact the Good will Outlet's store management literally hate the idea that people are going in there to buy and resell; call it jealousy or whatever but the fact is, if dealers didn't stay there all day and shop, the store's revenue would drop significantly. Bottom line is, the Goodwill outlet store on Woodman Drive in Dayton Ohio is turning into just another overpriced thrift store that has gotten too greedy for their own good and that's very sad.
This was once a fun place to find all kinds of cheap stuff, and I know inflation has caused prices to rise, but for what this place is, the prices and selection are now quite pitiful. Some of the staff is surly and rude.
There one employee and manager who treats the regular customers unfairly.Stay out of Brandy's line she will overcharge you for large items that are cheaper if you paid by the pound. Had an incident tonight her parents collect sponge wear. She pulled it out of bin and said I could not have it. I asked Steve manager and he was rude. Steve always treats customers bad, unlike other managers treat everyone fairly and show appreciation for customers.
I was in complete shock at the disorganization, filth and mess of junk. Big bins full of junk. It would be better in a dump than sold to poor people for more than it is ever worth. I travel all over this country and have never seen a worse place than this. When you have to hire a security guard to watch over a junk yard it's a Scary place. Goodwill you should be ashamed.
People do get special knowledge of some of the things that will be brought out of the back. Still a good place to find useable items
I have read negative reviews here. The reason for the negative reviews are because someone beat them to the punch and got to an object before they did. I have heard it many times. The people who complain are cry babies. The so called "pickers" are better at the art than the complainers. I've heard stories that "it's fixed" and that some folks have an "in" from the people in the back who bring out the goods. Again it's not true. There are always people who do better in any given situation. It's a cool store.
This Is One Of The Best Thrift Stores That I Have Ever Been To I Always Come Out With A Cart Full And The Prices Are So Cheap
